Singer Talent 3323 is a no-fuss basic mechanical sewing machine. It is lightweight and portable. If you are a beginner, then this could be a good starter machine. For an advanced sewer, Singer Talent sewing machine can serve as a decent second machine.
There is nothing fancy about this machine. Singer Talent 3323 is sans all the bells and whistles. You get 23 built-in stitches and a handful of presser foot attachments to play around with. This could be more than enough depending upon what your needs are.
Is Singer Talent 3323 the Right Sewing Machine for You?
Singer Talent 3323 does a decent job at everyday home sewing. If you are an advanced sewer, then it might not be your best choice. It might not offer the kind of features and functionalities you desire or require.
Singer Talent 3323 is a mechanical sewing machine. On a mechanical machine, you have to perform all the functions manually. On a computerized sewing machine, you can do a lot of things at the press of a button. Hence, you would be using the stitch selection dial to select the stitch you want to use on Singer Talent 3323.
I personally prefer mechanical sewing machines. They don’t have LCDs that could malfunction or chips that might burn. Mechanical sewing machines can also last longer than computerized ones. I find Singer Talent 3323 to be a reasonably durable machine. The internal metal skeleton lends it the potential to remain stable and strong in the long run.

- People who have difficulty controlling the sewing speed using the foot pedal alone
- Someone who is in the market for a fast sewing machine (Singer Talent 3323 sews at an average speed like most home sewing machines – nothing distinctive about it)

When it comes to stitching quality, Singer Talent 3323 does a decent job. The stitches are even and consistent. The stitches are even and consistent. The straight stitch turns out particularly well.
You might be wondering if 23 stitches would be more than enough for you or not. Well, you are the only person who has the answer to this question.
I would suggest creating a vision of the kind of projects you see yourself doing on this machine. For most basic projects, you wouldn’t need more stitch options. If you want to go heavy on craft projects, then that might be a different story.
Singer Talent 3323 sews at a speed similar to what most home sewing machines offer. If we have to put a number, then it would be something like 350-500 stitches per minute.
There is no speed control slider on Singer Talent 3323. Speed can be regulated only through the foot pedal. The foot pedal is responsive and easy to control. If you are a beginner, then it would be a better idea to use your bare feet for achieving better contact.
Ease of Use
Most beginners find it easy to set up and use Singer Talent 3323. The instructions manual is helpful.
I would highly recommend watching the owner’s class below.
Presser Foot Attachments
The all-purpose or universal foot comes pre-installed on the sewing machine. It is used for a majority of sewing projects. In addition, you get 3 presser foot attachments (buttonhole, button sewing, and zipper foot).
The button sewing foot is used for sewing buttons on to the garments. The buttonhole foot is used for making buttonholes. The zipper foot comes in handy while inserting zippers. It is also used for piping.
Currently, you can also get a few more presser foot attachments as a bonus. This includes even feed/walking foot, gathering foot, and a darning & embroidery foot.
These presser foot attachments allow you to work on a wide array of sewing projects.
Singer Talent 3323 features a top drop-in bobbin system. Most people find it a lot easier to use this kind of a bobbin system versus the front-loading type.
This machine uses class 15 transparent bobbins. The manufacturer recommends using only the class 15 bobbins by the Singer brand. The bobbin cover is also transparent. Hence, you can easily monitor the thread supply.
Most users find it easy to wind and load the bobbin.
Automatic Needle Threader
The automatic needle threader is very easy to use. Most people face no issues using it and love this feature about Singer Talent 3323.
Adjustable Stitch Length and Width
You can increase or decrease the distance between individual stitches (stitch length). You can also alter the size of the stitch from left to right (stitch width). These options assist in achieving different effects with your sewing. For instance, you can do basting or appliqué work by varying these settings.
It’s also useful when dealing with fabrics of different textures and thickness levels. For instance, leather generally requires a longer stitch length.
Reverse Stitch Lever
You can lift the reverse stitch lever on the machine to sew in reverse. This feature is useful for securing seams and for making existing stitches stronger.
You can use this function to make your end product look more professional. You can get perfectly close, super even twin rows of stitching with the help of the twin needles. They are commonly used on jersey and knit fabrics to achieve a professional finish.
Built-in Free Arm
To access the machine’s free arm, you have to remove the accessories tray. All the machine’s accessories are located in this accessories box. The built-in free-arm is useful for sewing cuffs, sleeves, and legs.
